Working Environment

As Elior UK's enterprise architect and engineering manager, lead technology strategy in collaboration with the CIO and senior management. Bridge tech teams with business, combining expertise with leadership. Develop ecosystem for business-tech collaboration, define strategy, select and pilot tech solutions, and integrate new technologies. Automate processes with RPA, AI, and ML, and manage supplier relationships for engineering projects.

Job Description

Key responsibilities: 

  • Lead technology strategy forums with digital and retail frontline operations, and central support functions.
  • Compare best in class technology offerings from the market, leverage Group technology innovations and technology partners.
  • Own Elior UK's strategic technology blueprint, roadmap and investment plan.
  • Evaluate new technology propositions as per demand from pre-sales teams for client tenders.
  • Lead the selection of new technology vendors and solutions.
  • Manage, lead and coordinate new tech POCs and pilots.
  • Design multi system integrations, automations, extraction and correlation of data from both digital and retail, as well as back office systems and technology partners.
  • Drive continuous improvement & innovation across the business challenging the status quo & ensuring we evolve to become industry-leading in our approach. 
  • Possesses a strong understanding of the technical aspects of the team's projects.
  • Provides technical guidance and mentorship to team members, helping them solve problems and grow their skills.
  • Builds, leads, and motivates high-performing engineering teams.
  • Sets clear goals, assigns tasks, and manages workloads to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Oversees the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects.
  • Managing relationships with third-party suppliers to ensure timely access to high-quality resources.

Skills and Experience

In this role:

 

Required experience: 

  • Enterprise or Solution experience of full technology lifecycle.
  • Experience of leading engineering teams.
  • Microsoft Azure, DevOps, Data Factory and Data Brick
  • Data & analytics including experience of PowerBI.
  • Ability to work at a strategic level with proven experience of turning vision into reality.
  • Several years of experience as a software engineer or a related technical role. 
     

Desired experience:

  • Experience of delivering strategy and solution architecture within the Food & Beverage, Retail or Catering industry sectors. 
  • System integrations specifically MDM (Master Data Management) integrations with core functions.
  • RPA automation such as Blueprism and/or UIPath.
  • Prior experience leading and mentoring engineers
  • Experience managing projects from conception to completion is also highly desirable.
